Abstract
The article proposes to exercise a feminist perspective in teaching through the didactic use of films directed by Cuban women filmmakers. As objectives are set to suggest some films directed mainly by Cuban women filmmakers suitable for debating in class, since they feature social problems concerning women in Cuba; to establish the social-aesthetic characteristics of these audiovisuals in regard to their representations of scourges such as gender-based violence and the imposition of gender roles; also, to elaborate some questions that guide the exchange with the students.
